suppose we're just the same with lomo, need some negatives to develop :)
new life and uncertainty ahead, but now,
i'll smile for what we've got while keep fighting for the dreams after so long ;D

sometimes a little simple act means more that it actually does
sometimes a simple scene will be totally different
if the one beside you is the one you cherish
or at least, appreciate.

who don't love heart to heart talk :D

Joke of the day.

early in the morning
my mobile phone is ringing
when I'm still hugging my bolster
having sweet dreams
I grab the phone over, hardly press the answer button

'helo'
-'hey, what's tukang besi called in english?'
silence for a while
'what? tukang besi?'
-'yaya, in english, I'm gonna post it out already'
'hmm...'
I'm still in sleeping mode, hardly get my brain works
-'faster ler'
'hm, ironman'

the end.

The one.

Something unbelievable happened couple of days ago
I can't really sleep that night,
I was just kept smiling and shouting inside
everything seem so unreal to me
perhaps it's all too good to be true
perhaps it's because i never expect it to be like this
yea, I am talking about the thai guy

Aww, I'm just too blessed to be me!
I'm just grateful, again.

yes, good things don't come easy
it's just too precious to meet someone like that
and now, I am listening to lite
love this the most!

听着Astor Piazzolla的Soledad

12 Monkeys & more

As I mentioned in the previous post, the preview was really catching up my attention and am wish to join again. Soon after a day, I received a text from GTF calling me to join, when I'm still rolling on my bed, hardly open my eyes! Yay, Thai, I'm coming for you LOL

9th July 2011.
We reached botanical garden around 1630. Went to the venue of the stage, and it's a really breath-taking scene. I never knew botanical garden has a place like this after 19++ years. What a shame lol. Soon after our arrival, flyers have been given to us and we got to be flyers girls again. Talking to uncles aunties, saying ' There is a free show later at six thirty ' bla bla bla.

Get up to the hill after our job is done. We get a free t-shirt again! Aww, nearly forget, we get a volunteer pass which have our name printed on it :) Met vin harng before we're called to run after CM Lim's car. lol, it's seriously a craziest act ever. Exhausted after the running, up hill down hill then up hill again.

Hmm, kept peeping the thai before the show starts. And he's alone at somewhere near the backstage but you know what, I'm just too nervous to go near him and ask for a photo though I've learnt some thai language in order to communicate with him lol.

okok, forget bout that first, the show was on going while we're just sitting on the grass and enjoyed the show. That's seriously the best thing about being a volunteer other than you can actually go to the backstage anytime. It's a outdoor stage where most of the audience were sitting on the grass with their mat on it, while some were even sipping their wine. The half moon was pretty in the dark sky in a situation like this. And I don't think I will forget any moment of the night.

18monkeys from the thai was performed after the 1st show. I'm so excited and watching them with full attention, while haisien was busy taking photograph of my thai for me, and vin harng was watching the show with me, too. I would give them a big big 'like' for the show, it'd changes my perspective for dance which telling a myth.

I was so nervous before getting up to ask for a photo with the thai, luckily haisien did help me. Aww, thank you so much seriously.. We got a chance to take a couples of photos with the performers before leaving the place. I am satisfied with everything of the night, or even grateful. A big thanks to all of you who gives me the guts for the action. Love y'all !

the amazing venue

That's it, my biggest wish of the night cames true!

with the thai performers :)
Good volunteering day !

GeorgeTown Festival 2011

This is no doubt the coolest thing I have done. I get to involve myself as a volunteer in this month-long celebration. 'Why or how you involve in this/found this?' I get this many times. Umm well, I did visit the street celebration last year and found that it's really interesting. And am always hope to involve in something alike, something related to tourism, which is the spec I plan to take in the 2nd year of my business course, what's more, I just love heritage stuff, the buildings, the arts&cultures, the stories behind.

7th July 2011.
It's the first day of Tapestry of Culture. We reached E&O Hotel at 0930. This is the very first time for some of us to step in, all are amazed ! Get to the hall and witnessed the opening ceremony for the event by CM Lim. Before we get to stand by at different stations for Gold Trail, we've been given a GTF t-shirt and a volunteer tag. The shirt is seriously nice! Together with Angelia, our station is Habib Jewellery, the small shop along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling.

It's only 1030 and yet we've to wait till 1300 for the VIPs to arrive. So we've decided to visit the Masjid Kapitan Keling which is just opposite to the Habib. The mosque will not be open for public normally but since it is a festive, so we these normal people and actually go inside and have a look. There was an Indian guy to explain all the details and story of Islam to us, he's known to be a law lecturer for a college. Went to a small museum beside after that. Photography exhibition in action and there were a lot of things from ages ago, the antiques. Interesting !

We're just walking around and stepped in any building that's open for visitors.
It's rained just before the arrival of VIPs. Umbrellas, crowds, flashes, trishaws..
After all the hectic stuff, lunch time at Amelie's Cafe with all the people, our leadership camp volunteers plus the organisers - vin harng and peiling.

It's then the Food and Craft session while some of us were just distribute flyers to the visitors and tourists. You know what, it's actually a good chance to talk with the ang mo. ngek ngek ngek. We're standing and walking under the sunny sun after vin harng get chillies everywhere on any poles available. Our skin was actually sticky after all the sweats since hours ago, the fact is, we sweat, we dried up, then sweat again, dried up again. And the process went on and on...

Since we got a mission to get a programme list from other event at other street, Angelia and me walked all the way long to the place, and we almost lost in the midst. 'Meng Eng Soo' the place,  was so amazing. All the people wearing clothes from dynasty ago. You got to change your RM to their old currency before you can buy something there. We met Ivan and Yongkang there, and four of us were just sit down, relax, minum kopi. The tables and the benches were so old school and it was really fun.

Left Meng Eng Soo around 1800 and get back to the information booth. We were just too tired to distribute flyers anymore and were sitting down, chit chatting.
Crowds were everywhere. It's really a huge celebration and people were coming from all the places to witness the fest. Lion dance, Nanaco - the sweet violinist, snakes, foods, performance everywhere..

It's almost night, means that we have to stand by at Khoo Kongsi for cultural performance. Here, we met some other volunteers and made new friends. The preview of 12Monkeys was really catching my attention especially the one from Thai. Hmm.. I know what you guys wanna say bout this LOL But then, the Punjabi drum performance was fascinating as well. In fact, every performers of the night did a great great job !

Umm, I didn't manage to take a photo with the Thai that night, I was just waving my hands, saying goodbye to them.

Cleaning up the mess before have a talk with all the hard workers of the day. You guys are amazing people, have a great time working with you all ! Too bad we don't have a group photo. Oh ya, and we left for home around 0000. It has been a long long day, yet, we do gain much precious experience, friends and the most important, memories :)

the only group photo of the day which left out haisien, yongkang and vin harng
